The IndustryFusion Foundation stands for the promotion of science, research and innovation in the field of digitalization and networking in Industry 4.0. The aim of the foundation is to enable European companies in the mechanical and plant engineering and manufacturing industries to digitalize in an open and trustworthy manner in accordance with European data protection guidelines.

Based on the long-standing and close cooperation of mechanical and plant engineers, component manufacturers, software developers, and representatives from science and politics in the association Industry Business Network 4.0 e.V., the IndustryFusion Foundation 2020 was founded in St. Gallen (Switzerland).

The Foundation creates the framework for digitalization and networking of European industry through open standards and reference implementations (open source) and ensures their continuous further development.

At SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN, the Foundation will be presenting IndustryFusion-X: a holistic open-source networking solution that seamlessly connects machines, processes and people to create smarter and more efficient factories and new business models. The basis for secure and standardized data exchange in this Industry 4.0 ecosystem is the IFRIC.org platform – which can also be used to create EU-compliant digital product passports for all conceivable goods free of charge.

Cooperation with Messe Essen

At SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN 2025, the IndustryFusion Foundation is cooperating with Messe Essen and DVS. Together, they are putting the spotlight on the topic of digitalization in an interactive rally under the motto "Get connected - get digital!".
