OTC DAIHEN EUROPE GmbH was founded in 1982 in Mönchengladbach. The company is part of the DAIHEN Corporation, one of the worldwide largest manufacturer of robots, arc welding and cutting machines as well as compontens for automisation of the welding technique and material handling. The location in Mönchengladbach is the center of the european sales- and service-network for welding machines and automated robot solutions in the field of welding and handling. At the central location in Mönchengladbach the focus is on planning and construction of robot systems as well as demonstrations or test series for welding processes with robot and welding machines. In the european network, the employees take care about sales-related tasks like counselling, project development, system production, training and service. OTC DAIHEN EUROPE has production facilities in Germany and Slovenia. In 2016, a demo center near Stuttgart and a showroom in Munich were opened.
